Ivan MITTLER (TBS 2017) - The Pharmacy Kiosk creates supply support between pharmacies

09 July 2020 Diplomas

The Pharmacy Kiosk allows medication to be sold between pharmacies

In 2015, Ivan Mittler (PGE 17), General Manager and Co-founder of the Pharmacy Kiosk (Comptoir des Pharmacies), became a business partner with Charles Romier to create a new start-up, which has become one of the companies who has come out of the health crisis successfully.

During the Covid-19 health crisis, many pharmacies had difficulty in getting essentiel products for hygiene and disinfection products (hydroalcoholic gel, washable and surgical facemasks, etc.). As soon as it was created, the Pharmacy Kiosk set up a supply management platform for pharmacists only and saw a massive increase in activity : 3000 new pharmacists became members !

The platform set up by the start-up gave pharmacists direct access to others who had the products needed in stock.

At the beginning of the health crisis, each region in France had different needs according to the degree of contagion of the pandemic. Today, the Toulouse company counts 7000 member pharmacies. The budding enterprise also provides visibility via the platform to partner laboratories and allows them direct access to pharmacies who were reticent to make physical contact as part of the social distancing measures still in force.

The Pharmacy Kiosk was part of the incubator program at Toulouse Business School and won the "Graines de Boss" (Budding Boss) Award on M6 in October 2017. In 2019, it had already raised 7 000 euros to finance growth. The healthcare crisis has provided the opportunity for the company from Toulouse to increase its brand awareness and visibility by providing solutions at the height of the crisis.

Following the government announcement which makes wearing facemasks obligatory in companies from 1st September, the Pharmacy Kiosk has activated a new website to distribute products against Covid 19. With the risk that traditional distribution circuits may suffer shortages, the aim is to compensate for the increased demand in facemasks.
