Pierre Hurstel (TBS 1980) is elected President of our School

18 June 2021 Association

Pierre Hurstel is the new President of TBS Education, unanimously elected by the TBS Board of Directors (composed of business leaders, TBS staff and a student representative), with the unanimous support of the office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Toulouse (CCIT). Pierre Hurstel was previously President of the TBS Foundation, President of the TBS Alumni Association and President of Matière à Réflexion. A TBS alumnus, he started his career in Toulouse as an Audit Partner within the firm Belou & Malissard, then as an Audit Partner within Ernst & Young in Toulouse before leaving for a career in Paris and London as HR Director worldwide for the Ernst & Young group.

He succeeds Philippe Robardey, President of Sogeclair, President of the CCIT who was President of the TBS school since January 2017.

« Under the presidency of Philippe Robardey, the school has accelerated its development and consolidated its place in the world of national and international business schools. It has reaffirmed the excellence of its courses by reobtaining its triple accreditation for the maximum period (AACSB, Equis, AMBA), it has set in motion the construction of two new large-scale campuses (Barcelona and Toulouse) with strong financial support from the CCIT, it has gained national and international recognition in the field of teaching and pedagogical innovation, and it has taken an ambitious path: becoming a “Business for Good”. Thanks to this presidency, the school is now on track to achieve its highest level of excellence in the service of the educational well-being and employability of its students and learners. I would like to thank Philippe Robardey for his unwavering commitment to our school and I know that he is and will remain one of our school's greatest ambassadors. I am delighted with the appointment of Pierre Hurstel, administrator of the school for 5 years, with whom we will continue the ambitious development of our school and deploy our strategic plan to make TBS Education shine.»

  Stéphanie Lavigne

« With a renewed management team led by Stéphanie Lavigne, the school and its Dean (appointed unanimously in October 2019) have carried the rebound and recognition of TBS in the highest ranks of French business schools. The new strategic plan of TBS for the period 2021-2026 must be able to rely on a stable governance. Pierre Hurstel, through his attachment to the school, his expertise and his international professional network is the guarantor of the winning tandem with Stéphanie Lavigne to achieve the ambition of TBS a company with a mission.»

   Philippe Robardey

« I am proud of this appointment, because the alumnus that I am, knows what he owes to his Alma Mater. Accompanying TBS Education makes sense when you belong to this beautiful community that has benefited from the excellence of its degrees. My commitment is to work with the professors and the men and women who work for this company on a daily basis, and especially in tandem with Stéphanie Lavigne, to ensure that the Strategic Plan is a success. The unanimity that appeared during this election is both an explicit mark of the support of the governance and a sign of the dynamics that will animate us to take up together the challenges that lie ahead, in particular the completion of the campuses and the accentuation of the notoriety of TBS Education, fermenting the experience desired by the students and the alumni.»
