Lisa DUPONT (TBS 2013), behind the project : industriesolidaires.fr

04 May 2020 Community

A volunteer project aiming to create direct links between companies
producing and providing safety equipment and healthcare professionals
to fight against Covid-19

In Toulouse, Lisa Dupont, (TBS 2013) and her colleagues, all employed by Safran Electrical & Power had the idea of launching a solidarity-based and free internet platform to facilitate the provision of safety equipment between industries and healthcare professionals in a bid to add more momentum to the solidarity effort that has been developed nationwide.

This platform, called industriesolidaire.fr, created direct links between healthcare professionals and companies who produce solidarity-based safety equipment against the Covid-19. The objective is to facilitate donations.

Industriesolidaire.fr addresses, on one side, all the companies who are manufacturing safety equipment (facemasks, visors, hydro-alcoholic gels, etc.), and on the other side, all healthcare professionals (hospitals and their personnel, nursing homes, private practitioners, etc.).

Indeed, since the start of the pandemic, a great number of hospitals and healthcare professionals found themselves with safety equipment shortages. Thus an upsurge of solidarity was created and several French companies started providing free surgical facemasks, visors or hydro-alcoholic gels, etc. However, the distribution of these donations from industries to healthcare professionals proved to be somewhat complicated in some cases.

"When we were on the point of delivering facemasks and visors manufactured by Safran Electrical & Power to the hospitals in Toulouse, we observed that there was no tool to collate the health professionals' requirements. So we decided to develop this platform, with the support of Safran Electrical & Power and of Mediactive Group, to create the link between the different actors and provide an efficient response to needs. Today we hope that the platform will be used at large by companies and healthcare professionals alike" explains Lisa Dupont, who was at the initiative of this project and who works as Communications Manager at Safran Electrical & Power.

The platform works in the same way as the  « Le Bon Coin » website, but on the basis of donations :

  • Memebership is free.
  • On one side, it lists the donation offers and the manufacturing capacity of companies, and on the other side, shows the needs of the healthcare professionals
  • It simply works by creating an account and filling in the offer or request.
  • The offers and requests are listed by geographical zone. The idea is to pair together the resources and the needs to facilitate delivery and privilege short supply channels.
  • If you are interested in an offer / request : click on the link and the contact details are shown, giving you direct access.
  • The company is in charge of delivering equipment to the healthcare professionals.
  • Once the need has been satisfied, either the request is updated or removed.

Industriesolidaire.fr is the fruit of collaboration between the teams of Safran, the high technology industry, and of Mediactive Group, who is a major player in the implementation of technology-based services and digital solutions. This site is available to everyone and needs all our support to publicize it and make it work !
