Les Coquettes and FlyBot are winners in the competition for student entrepreneurs

Les Coquettes and FlyBot are the first-place winners of the competition organised by the Toulouse CCI

73 students and 28 projects competed in the 2019 CRECE awards.

The 18th edition of the CRECE, a regional competition for student entrepreneurs in which 17 higher education institutions competed, nominated two big winners.

On 3 June, the Toulouse Haute-Garonne CCI and its partners, awarded the prizes of the Regional Competition of Student Entrepreneurs (CRECE), held for its 18th year. New this year were two categories awarded according to the project’s stage of development: “Awareness” and “Advanced”. The first prize in the "Awareness" category was awarded to Les Coquettes, the creators of reusable food containers made from walnut and hazelnut shells, a transversal project between the Purpan School of Agriculture and Icam. The first prize in the "Advanced" category went to FLYBOT, a chatbot that facilitates and maximises holiday budgets, a transversal project between Toulouse Business School (TBS) and INP Toulouse.

Promoting entrepreneurship

The object of the competition is to raise awareness of entrepreneurship students and teachers and to contribute toward the viability of projects of young entrepreneurs by offering them financial aid and technical support in the construction and materialisation of their projects. In total, 73 students presented 26 start-up projects, all ranked. Nearly 22,000€ in prizes were awarded to all winners to make it easier to continue to work on their projects. In total, 17 higher education institutions took part in this 18th edition. The prizes were awarded in the presence of Philippe Robardey, President of the Toulouse CCI.
