[TBS] International SAVE Project

27 January 2021 School

The International Team of TBS is actively working with the local ComUE (the Université Fédérale Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées (UFTMP)) to improve the Student life as a part of the Plan National de la Vie Étudiante (PNVE). From 2016-2020 the SAVE Project (Schéma d’amélioration de la vie étudiante) developed a diagnostic and outlined a 5 year action plan on ways to improve the quality of student life. The “Welcome Desk” with international oriented products such as Toul’box & Mouv’box are evidence of this work. The time has come to analyze again the topic of student life and create a new 5 year plan. Working groups to improve student life are composed of housing, transport, health, social, food & beverage, handicap, cultural activities, sports, and students-led initiatives & engagement. Since the initial report, 4 other categories have been included: harassment & discrimination, orientation & integration, eco-responsibility and jobs. The DRI engages itself in this project sharing best practices and brainstorming ways in which the local community could improve international student life.

The UFTMP ComUE (COMmunautés d’Universités et Établissements) groups just over 30 communities of universities and school and brings together organizations from 11 cities in Midi-Pyrénées: Albi, Auch, Cahors, Castres, Figeac, Foix, Millau, Montauban, Rodez, Tarbes and Toulouse.
